Education : Music program

To talk about education in music, there’re many universities that have a bachelor degree about music, but their programs focus on different purposes. As in Kasetsart University, there’s music program that focus on creating music performer.

How to enroll in this program?? In every September, department of arts which is part of faculty of humanities, will open for student who have a music skill and want to apply to this program. The music program divided into 2 programs: Western music and Thai music. All candidates must take 3 general subjects: Thai language, Social and English, and a music subject which their paper test differs between western music and Thai music. In other words, the candidates who want to enroll in western music, their music paper test will have 70% in western music questions and 30% in Thai music questions. All candidates need to have music knowledge not only their music, but also other music.

After the departments of arts publish a list of candidate’s names that passed the paper test and have an opportunity to take a music practical test. The candidate must prepare their pieces and some technical works: scales, arpeggio and sight reading. The practical test will test on October with 2 examiners. Additionally, while the candidate is performing their piece, the examiner sometimes interrupts you, but not because of their terrible song, the examiners have many candidates to look into.

The result of practical test will publish on November. Later, candidate might have a interview with 4-5 interviewers who are the professor of department of arts. In every academic year, the department of arts will accept 20 students for western music and 20 students for Thai music.

No matter how much you failed or passed. It doesn’t the result of life. If you want to be a good musician, the good way of improving your music skill is still PRACTICE. In conclusion, the more you practice, the better you do.

Human Being

A human is a kind of living thing, which includes animals, plants and even bacteria. Although those of all are living things, many differences between them can divide human out of other.
There are many differences between human being and other living things. The obviously difference is the outstanding appearance. You can easily see the extremely difference of humans and animals, which you can recognize immediately which one is human. Humans can stand by two legs, which their backs are vertical on the ground. The position of human eyes is in the front of the face, which differs from the eyes position of other animals. Even the position eyes and other appearance of monkey is same as human but its whole body cover with many hairs. Secondly the thinking process of human is more complex than animal. Moreover, human can analyze, synthesize, and also critical thinking. Thirdly, human being is the only living thing that can invent many infrastructures to fulfill their purpose, including vehicle, road, building and so on. Furthermore, their infrastructures can show not only their civilization, but also their culture. Finally, the purpose of language of humans and animals is different. Even animals seem to have language for communication as human. However, humans use language not only for communication, but also for writing which is highly useful for human to record and pass their tradition around.
You can easily see from the few differences that can distinguish human out of other living things and also can give a definition of “human being”.

lucky or unlucky signs

What are some lucky or unluckly signs??
----In your opinion, which one do you think it's lucky or unlucky? I've already asked this question to my cute classmate [ her name is DAO, that means STAR ] and she gave me an interesting idea of lucky or unlucky signs. I seperated the lucky or unlucky signs into 4 types including number, day, colour and animal.

----The first is number. She chose no.3 base on her personal reason because 3rd is her birthday. Then she thinks that this number is her lucky number. Although Dao didn't have unlucky number, she still prefer to associate with the company or the building that doesn't have the 13th floor.

----All 7 days of the week, she mentioned to me that she didn't worry to do or not to do something on any day.

----No colour represents lucky or unlucky to her. Even though She love pink and orange, everytime her last dicision of buying thing doesn't influence by her favourite colour as well. She's determined to buy when she realises that this colour is proper for that thing more than other.

----The last sign is animal. She doesn't feel lucky or unlucky to any animal - even a large house lizard and most of Thai people hate and feel unlucky with it.

----After interviewing her, I learn something from her idea about lucky or unlucky signs. We shouldn't let any signs to be an obstacle to our lifestyle. Just only do your best..............^^
